Vitaler's Maitake 500 mg - 60 Capsules

Vitaler's Maitake is a capsule with an extract from the fruiting bodies of maitake (Grifola frondosa), an edible mushroom popular in Japanese cuisine. Each capsule contains 500 mg of extract standardised to 40% polysaccharides, which is 200 mg. The capsule shell is plant-based and the product is suitable for vegans.

About the product

Maitake grows at the base of old oaks as a large cluster of overlapping, wavy caps that can weigh several kilograms. The Japanese name maitake means "dancing mushroom". It occurs in Japan, China, Europe and North America, and for culinary use and processing it is grown on a sawdust substrate. The extract is standardised to 40% polysaccharides, so every batch has the same content of these carbohydrates - in one capsule it is 200 mg. The label lists polysaccharides in total, without separating out beta-glucans.
