Billington's is a British heritage brand specialising in unrefined cane sugars that bring depth, flavour, and character to baking and cooking. With roots dating back to 1858, Billington's has built a reputation for producing the finest natural sugars that discerning bakers and chefs rely on for superior results.
The Art of Unrefined Sugar
Unlike highly processed white sugars, Billington's unrefined cane sugars retain their natural molasses content, which provides not just sweetness but complex flavour profiles, moisture, and colour. This makes them invaluable in baking, where they contribute to richer, more nuanced results. The brand sources quality sugar cane and processes it minimally to preserve the natural goodness that makes their sugars distinctive.
Billington's Products at Medpak
At Medpak, we offer Billington's artisan cane sugars. Dark Muscovado Sugar delivers intense, treacle-like depth with a moist, fine texture perfect for rich fruit cakes, gingerbread, and sticky toffee pudding. Its deep molasses flavour adds complexity that white sugar simply cannot match. The Cane Sugar with Molasses offers a lighter touch while still providing that characteristic natural sweetness and golden colour that elevates home baking to new levels.
