Bilovit Cold-pressed Black Cumin Oil is 100% black cumin seed oil (Nigella sativa) – unrefined, unfiltered, cold-pressed in a Polish oil mill. Free from preservatives and additives – stays fresh for up to 3 months after opening the bottle in the fridge.

Amber-brown colour, characteristic sharp, spicy and distinctly bitter taste – typical of black cumin. The nutritional table is dominated by unsaturated fatty acids (84 g/100 g): polyunsaturated 60 g/100 g and monounsaturated 24 g/100 g (from the manufacturer’s specifications).

Usage

Oil for cold dishes: salads, raw vegetable salads, as a topping for hummus or yoghurt, or as an addition to smoothies. Due to its intense bitter taste, it adds a nice touch to sweet drinks (water with honey, fruit juice) or can be used in recipes with ingredients that counteract the bitterness. Not suitable for frying – unrefined oil degrades at high temperatures. Vegan.

Directions for use

Directly: 1 tablespoon (12 g) per day – mix with yoghurt, fruit juice, honey or a little water with lemon to counteract the bitter taste. In the kitchen: 1 tablespoon in salads, hummus or dressings (with honey and lemon). An addition to Middle Eastern, Indian and Moroccan dishes.

Storage

Store in a cool, dry place, away from light. Once opened, store in the fridge and use within 3 months. Keep the bottle tightly closed.
