Ziółko White Mulberry Fruit consists of 100% dried white mulberry fruit (Morus alba) with a light colour. It has a sweet taste with a delicate fruity note, and a shape reminiscent of blackberries or raspberries. About the product

Ziółko White Mulberry Fruit consists of dried white mulberry fruit (Morus alba) – a deciduous tree of the Moraceae family, native to China. Mulberries have been cultivated in Europe since the 11th century; in Poland, this is the only species of this plant found in the wild.

The dried fruit has a light, creamy colour and a shape resembling blackberries or raspberries. The taste is predominantly sweet, sometimes with a delicate sour note – it is the natural sugars contained in the fruit that give it its sweet profile without the addition of external sugar. The large 250g pack makes it convenient to use mulberries as an everyday snack or an ingredient in home recipes.

Usage

A sweet snack for direct consumption (like raisins or dried cranberries). An addition to porridge, muesli, yoghurt, fruit salads, fruit cakes and biscuits, trail mix, compotes and herbal infusions. Also works well in yeast-raised baked goods and wholemeal bread.

Directions for use

Enjoy as a snack between meals (typical serving: a 30 g handful). For muesli and yoghurt: 1–2 tablespoons per serving. For cakes: 1/2–1 cup for a 24 cm sponge cake. For trail mix: mix with nuts, dried cranberries and raisins. You can also soak in lukewarm water for 10–15 minutes to soften before adding to dishes.

Storage

Store in an airtight container in a cool, dark place, away from light, moisture and strong odours.
